Crypto Currency Working Group Membership
In 2018 the Anti-Phishing Working Group launched the APWG Crypto Currency Working Group (CCWG) to help cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, trading platforms and investment funds protect themselves and their customers against phishing and cybercrime.
As an CCWG member you will find a circle of cutting edge security experts discussing crypto currency challenges fighting criminal networks. Members from industry, government and academia provide a forum for responders and managers of cybercrime to discuss ongoing cryptocurrency cybercrime issues and potential technology solutions.
Members are also eligible to access APWG’s data logistics resources for cybersecurity applications. After signing a common Data Sharing Agreement, participants receive login and API details the APWG managed Crypto Module in the eCrime Exchange ™. This vetted community has been sharing cybercrime data in security products, services and in research programs for 13 years.
As a member you will enjoy passes and discounts to APWG meetings and research events. For more than 15 years APWG has hosted counter-crime focused events providing networking opportunities by bringing together a diverse global audience unique to the security industry. In conjunction with these meetings our peer reviewed academic paper program has published over 120 research papers directly related ty cybercrime.
Working with APWG makes a difference. APWG is known for working to make the internet a safer place. The CCWG will take that experience and apply it to the growing threats in the cryptocurrency markets.
APWG Crypto Currency Working Group Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to qualified cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, investment funds and others active in the cybercurrency space. Because electronic crime is a sensitive subject, the APWG maintains a policy of confidentiality of member organizations and requires execution of the standard Data Sharing Agreement for all members.
Applying for APWG Crypto Currency Working Group Membership

Your application will be reviewed, and upon approval, you will be sent an invoice and a data sharing agreement prior to receiving an email invite to the data sharing and workgroup site. If you have any questions, please contact us at membership@apwg.org .
** Attention: Request for membership will only be accepted if the email address originates from a domain owned by a qualifying organization. Generic or free ISP accounts like Yahoo!, Gmail or Hotmail are not acceptable. We do not accept group level email or distribution list email address to access APWG resources.
